The large work area makes it a great food options when preparing meals for a large group. It’s also better because the propane tanks and foldable units make it the ideal choice for  on-the-go camping.

Finally, it is easy to maintain by just wiping it down and oiling the surface.

Tell Me the Best Blackstone Size for Campers?

Blackstone Griddles have several sizes: The 17-inch tabletop Griddles are mostly used for RVs. The 17 & 22-inch are ideal for one or two people, while the 28 and 36-inch is better for households with three or more people.

The smaller griddles can be used with one-pound propane tanks, and you can buy an adapter to connect larger propane tanks if desired. Blackstone Products has come out with a line of electric flat top griddles which are awesome!! I love my 17-inch E-Series Blackstone Griddle.

Can you make scrambled eggs on the Blackstone?

Yes, you can make scramble eggs on the Blackstone griddle! My suggestion is to whip the egg mixture up before cooking on the flat top. Make fluffy scramble eggs by adding a little half and half or heavy whipping cream while you are mixing the eggs and cook as you normally would.

Yes, you should use oil every time you cook on a Blackstone griddle. The flat top will not become non-stick until you have cooked on it several times and maintained the seasoning of the griddle.

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon Roll, Can (12.4 ounces) 1 each
  • Butter 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Blackstone griddle of your choice.  A Blackstone flat top gas griddle should be set on low heat and the electric Blackstone e-series griddle should be set to 350°F.
  2. Once the Blackstone griddle is hot, open the cinnamon roll tube.  Lightly grease the griddle with your choice of oil.  You can use butter, vegetable oil, etc.
  3. Separate the canned cinnamon roll layers and lay each piece flat on the warmed griddle making sure to leave plenty of space between each cinnamon roll.
  4. Take a piece of the parchment paper and lightly grease one side of it.  Place the parchment paper square on top of the cinnamon roll piece.  With your griddle spatula on top of the parchment paper, gently press down to smash the cinnamon roll dough.  Carefully peel the parchment paper square off the cinnamon roll and continue to the next dough circle until all of them are smashed.
  5. Cover with a griddle dome lid or griddle cover.  Check the cinnamon rolls pieces every so often so they do not burn.  Cooking times will vary due to griddle temp,, thickness of each cinnamon roll, and the air temperature around the griddle.
  6. When the cinnamon rolls are golden brown on the bottom, flip them over.  If needed, cover with a griddle dome lid and continue cooking until the cinnamon rolls are done.
  7. Remove from the flat top griddle.  Heat up the cinnamon roll icing that comes in the tube.  Pour over top the smashed Blackstone Cinnamon rolls and serve them while they are hot.

Notes

  • Store extra cinnamon rolls in an Ziplock bag or airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 days.
  • Do not get the griddle too hot.
  • Pair with other great Blackstone breakfast meals.
