I am the wife of an avid outdoorsman which means that there is a collection of very popular venison and fish recipes for you to enjoy!
My passion is baking and sugar art so you will also find a collection of my famous bakery recipes. Owning and operating Sherry’s Sheer Delight, my experience in baking comes from making elaborate wedding cakes as well as freshly baked goods.
With over 30 years of professional cooking and baking, I know my way around the kitchen. Sharing my recipes with you has been a dream of mine.

I have two daughters Lexie and Calli. Lexie is a college student pursuing a degree in radiography. Calli is in high school and is very active in sports.
And we can’t forget about Lola! Lola is our six pound Yorkie dog that loves to follow me everywhere!! You will find her in several of my videos/photos if you look closely!
As I was finishing up my last semester at the Great Lakes Culinary Institute in the spring of 2018 the idea to create recipes and share them sounded like a dream job to me. The title – From Michigan To The Table – was dreamed up on my long rides home from school. A year later www.frommichigantothetable.com was born in 2019!
This site is dedicated to the person that wants to learn how to grow their cooking skills using fresh farm ingredients or freshly harvested products. If you are a farm to table kind of person, this blog is for you! I will have lots of tips and tricks for your cooking and baking needs.
Most people are surprised to learn that I am a roller coaster enthusiast and that I earned an Associates of Applied Science in Culinary Arts at the age of 47 from the Great Lakes Culinary Institute in Traverse City, Michigan!
Graduating with High Honors/Magna Cum Laude and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, it is never too late to follow your dreams. I am living proof that if you have a dream, find a way to make it happen.
I am a proud member of the ACF – American Culinary Federation since 2018 and a member of the Northwestern Michigan chapter. Upon graduation, I earned my Certified Culinarian (CC) credentials.
