The Manistee area is where my family and I have lived our whole lives. We are surrounded by lakes, rivers, rich farmland and plentiful hunting ground.
I have two daughters Lexie and Calli. Lexie is a college student pursuing a degree in radiography. Calli is in high school and is very active in sports.
And we can’t forget about Lola! Lola is our six pound Yorkie dog that loves to follow me everywhere!! You will find her in several of my videos/photos if you look closely!
As I was finishing up my last semester at the Great Lakes Culinary Institute in the spring of 2018 the idea to create recipes and share them sounded like a dream job to me. The title – From Michigan To The Table – was dreamed up on my long rides home from school. A year later www.frommichigantothetable.com was born in 2019!
This site is dedicated to the person that wants to learn how to grow their cooking skills using fresh farm ingredients or freshly harvested products. If you are a farm to table kind of person, this blog is for you! I will have lots of tips and tricks for your cooking and baking needs.

Most people are surprised to learn that I am a roller coaster enthusiast and that I earned an Associates in Culinary Arts at the age of 47 from the Great Lakes Culinary Institute in Traverse City, Michigan!
