How To Make Chicken Fried Rice on Blackstone Griddle
Gather your ingredients to make the rice.
Make sure to dice all your vegetables, the bacon and chicken. The vegetables need to be cut small, so they cook quickly.
Preheat your Blackstone Griddle to medium-low for 5 to 10 minutes. Add the diced bacon to the griddle and cook until the bacon starts to crisp up.
On a different part of the griddle, using your favorite grease, apply the grease to the flat-top. Top with the diced chicken breast and season to taste.
Continue cooking the chicken until fully done but not over cooked.
Next, add all the vegetables on-top of the bacon. Use the bacon grease to help cook the vegetables.
As the bacon, vegetables and chicken are cooking, pick another spot on the griddle to scramble an egg. Make sure to grease the griddle and cook the egg by itself until just done.
On the griddle mix the bacon, vegetables, scrambled egg, rice, salt and pepper. Cook for a few minutes and continue to combine ingredients with your spatula.
When the chicken pieces are fully cooked, add to the rice mixture.
Sprinkle about a tablespoon of soy sauce over top of the rice mixture. Continue to cook until desired doneness is achieved.
Test the Blackstone Griddle fried rice for flavor. Add more soy sauce, salt and pepper if needed.
When desired flavor is achieved, remove from the griddle to a serving dish.

Long grain white rice works best for chicken fried rice on the Blackstone Griddle. Some griddlers say that the rice needs to be cooked ahead of time and then cooled or refrigerated overnight. Other griddlers say that it is okay to use freshly cooked rice to make your fried rice.
Yes, when making fried rice, you will want to use cooked rice for the recipe. Make sure not to over cook your rice because the fried rice will become mushy. The rice should be cooked al dente.

Ingredients
- Bacon, Slices, Small Diced 1/2 cup
- Chicken Breast, Diced 1 cup
- Zucchini, Diced 1 cup
- Mushrooms, Fresh, White, Small Diced. 1 cup
- Onion, Small Diced 1/2 cup
- Celery, Small Diced 1/2 cup
- Pepper, Bell, Small Diced 1/2 cup
- Egg, Large 1 each
- White Rice, Long Grain, Fully Cooked 4 cups
- Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1/4 teaspoon
- Pepper 1/8 teaspoon
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients to make the chicken fried rice.
- Dice all your vegetables, chicken breast, and the bacon All needs to be cut small, so they sauté quickly.
- Preheat your Blackstone Griddle to medium-low for 5 to 10 minutes. Apply a thin layer of cooking oil to season the griddle.
- When the griddle is hot, add the diced bacon to the hot griddle and cook until the bacon starts to crisp up. This will take about 5 minutes.
- Next, add all the vegetables (zucchini, onion, celery, peppers and mushrooms) on another part of the griddle. Use the griddle spatula to stir cooking vegetables until they are tender.
- On a different part of the griddle, add the chicken pieces and season to taste. Continue cooking until chicken is fully done but not over cooked.
- Stir the cooked vegetables and bacon together on the griddle.
- On a separate part of the griddle, scramble the egg. Use your spatula and scramble the egg by itself until just done.
- On the griddle mix the bacon, vegetables, scrambled egg, chicken pieces, rice, salt and pepper. Cook for a few minutes and continue to combine ingredients.
- Sprinkle about a tablespoon of soy sauce over top of the rice mixture. Continue to cook until desired doneness is achieved.
- Test the Blackstone Griddle chicken fried rice for flavor. Add more soy sauce, salt and pepper if desired.
- When desired chicken fried rice flavor is achieved, remove from the griddle to a serving dish.
Notes
- Add or subtract your favorite vegetables to this chicken fried rice dish.
- Substitute diced steak or shrimp for the chicken.
- If you don't have a Blackstone flat top griddle, use a large sauté pan on the stove top instead.
- Substitute your favorite seasoning to taste.
