Fried Pork Chop Ingredients
- Pork Chops – Regular Cut (Bone-in pork chops or Boneless Chops) Can use Thick Pork Chops or Thin Pork Chops
- Olive Oil (Avocado oil, Vegetable oil, and Butter can also be used)
- Salt and Pepper – Seasoned Salt and Pepper is best!
How to Make Fried Pork Chops on Blackstone Griddle
- Preheat the Blackstone Griddle: Fire up your Blackstone Griddle and preheat it to medium heat. You want it hot enough to sizzle but not too hot to burn the meat.
- Prepare Your Blackstone Pork Chops: Start by seasoning both sides of your pork chops with your favorite salt and pepper. Lawry’s Seasoned Salt and Morton’s Nature Seasonings are my preferred choice of seasonings.
- Oil the Griddle: Add a thin layer of your favorite cooking oil to the griddle surface. This will help achieve that beautiful golden crust.
- Griddle Fried Pork Chops: Place the pork chops onto the hot griddle and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F for medium-rare or up to 160°F for medium well.
- Rest and Serve: Remove the juicy pork chops from the griddle and let them rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, keeping them tender and juicy. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
Why Are My Pork Chops Dry?
Dry pork chops are the result of over cooking them. Try reducing the temperature that you are cooking them at, reduce the cooking time, and use a meat thermometer probe to check the internal temp of each pork chop.
Only flip the chops once. Repeated flipping will result in improper cooking.
How to Store Fried Pork Chops
Leftover pork chops reheat very well. Allow the pork chops to cool to room temperature. Place the chops into an airtight container or resealable plastic bag.
Store them in the refrigerator for up to 6 days. Reheat pork chops on the Blackstone until warm or pop in the microwave using 30 second intervals to heat up.
What to Serve with Fried Pork Chops
Fried pork chops are incredibly versatile. Here are some mouthwatering ideas to make with your main dish recipe.
Pork Chops and applesauce are perfect together! My favorite side dishes are Red Hots Applesauce along with fried potatoes and onions.
Stovetop Fried Pork
If you don’t have a Blackstone Griddle to cook you pork chops, that’s okay. Use a sauté pan or a cast iron skillet on the stovetop.
In a large pan over medium heat, add a couple tablespoons of cooking oil. Season the pork chops and carefully place them into the preheated pan.
Cook for 4-5 minutes and then flip the chops over. Continue cooking until they have reached the desired internal temperature.
When done, remove from the pan and let rest for about 5 minutes. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Side-Dish Blackstone Recipes
When you have the pork chops on the Blackstone, prepare a griddle side dish at the same time. Glazed Carrots, griddle beans, hasselback potato, French fried sweet potatoes, and griddle corn on the cob are all great side dishes.
Fried Pork Chops – FAQ
Yes, Boneless pork chops work just as well. Adjust the cooking time slightly, as they may cook a bit faster than bone-in chops.
Absolutely! A skillet works just fine. Just make sure the fry pan is preheated well and has enough oil to prevent sticking.

I love pork chops so much! This recipe sounds easy and delicious.
Delicious, this recipe is simple, but simple can be oh so good. Thank you for the tips for keeping the meat tender. Mine tend to get a little bit on the dry side. Looking forward to try this recipe.
These were really easy to cook! I don’t know why but I am usually a bit scared of pork, I worry so much about it drying out and becoming chewy! But my hubby bought some chops back from the store so I had to cook them. On the griddle was really easy and the high heat meant they cooked quickly and didn’t dry out at all.
I impressed myself 😉
