Best Steak Butter Recipes

My family loves Blackstone Griddle grilled steaks – something that makes them so much better is herb butter.  Herbed butter for meats makes for an excellent low carb diet.

Let’s face it: dinner doesn’t taste as good without garlic on steak. Basil butter made of real butter for a griddle grilled steak is delicious in many ways.

I like using this combination of ingredients in many different dishes and even served on our Thanksgiving turkey!

What is garlic butter?

This herb butter recipe can be made in just minutes. Six simple ingredients are all that you need to make the best garlic butter recipe that you have ever had.

How to Mince Garlic

Fresh garlic is best in this basil butter recipe with basil. Use a garlic press to help with this process. Peel the fresh garlic cloves and place into the garlic press. Squeeze the handles of the garlic press to mince the garlic. Scrape what you can from the press and use in the recipe.

How to Make Garlic Butter?

It’s a very easy basil butter recipe. This recipe uses only 6 simple ingredients. Big Tip: the butter must be at room temperature. Put this on the counter for a few hours to soften.

Once butter is soft and spreadable, put all ingredients in the bowl and mix with a spoon until all of them have come together.

With about 2 teaspoons of the basil butter on the spoon, plop a dollop of butter onto a parchment lined sheet pan.  Place in the fridge or the freezer to set the butter.  It’s that simple!

Herb Butter Tips

  • You want to use softened butter, not melted.
  • Add in grated parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
  • Fresh herbs are best but if needed you can use dried herbs. Substitute 1 teaspoon dried herbs for 1 tablespoon of fresh herbs.
  • Unsalted butter lacks flavor, so make sure to use salted butter.
  • Add garlic powder, parsley, thyme, or even lemon juice.

How to Use Herb Butter?

I have used this easy recipe for years for garlic bread.  Spread the softened garlic butter on both sides of your bread slices and cook on a Blackstone griddle, a pan on the stove, or bake in the oven until golden brown.

Cook one side of your favorite meat on a griddle or pan, flip, and place a piece of the herb garlic butter on top.  Let the butter melt and cook until the meat is done to your liking.
