Delicious Chicken Sliders are a fantastic meal for any occasion, offering a tasty dish that’s perfect for parties, game days, a casual dinner, and as a Super Bowl snack.

I like to make these in my Blackstone Pizza Oven, but I have also made them in my kitchen oven using the broiler setting.  Add your favorite buffalo sauce to kick it up a notch and take your sandwich to another heat level.

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Sliders

The Garlic Butter: Prepare the garlic butter for the top of the sliders by combining the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and the seasoning in a bowl.  Set aside until ready to use.

Herb Garlic Butter in a bowl with a pastry brush

Preheat the Oven:  Whether you are using a Blackstone Pizza Oven or your kitchen oven, preheat while you are making the sliders.  Set the Blackstone Pizza Oven to the lowest setting.  Set the dial to broil if using your kitchen oven.

Assemble the Sliders:  Do not separate the rolls.  Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half down the center.  Open up the rolls and place on a baking sheet pan or pizza pan.  On the bottom piece, add a couple layers of the sliced chicken so they are fluffed and folded.  Add the slices of cheddar cheese to the top of the chicken pieces.

Bake the Sliders:  Place the prepared sliders into the oven and watch them carefully so they don’t burn.  When the rolls are golden brown and the cheddar cheese is melted over the sliced chicken, remove the pan with the sliders from the oven.  Flip the top of the rolls on top of the chicken and melted cheese side.

Add the Garlic Butter:  Using a pastry brush, add a layer of the seasoned garlic butter to the top of the sliders.  Return the chicken sliders back to the oven and toast the top up a little bit.

Serve the Chicken Sliders:  Serve the hot chicken sliders right away with your favorite sides.

  • Deli Chicken (Buffalo Style), Sliced 4 ounces
  • Double Cheddar Cheese Slices 3 ounces
  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Minced Garlic 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh Parsley 1 tablespoon
  • Seasoned Salt 1/8 teaspoon
  • Pepper 1/8 teaspoon
  • Buffalo Sauce 1 tablespoon

Instructions

    1. The Herb Garlic Butter: Prepare the garlic butter for the top of the chicken sliders by combining the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and the seasoning in a small bowl.  Set aside until ready to use for the topping.
    2. Preheat the Oven of Your Choice:  Whether you are using a Blackstone Pizza Oven or your home kitchen oven, preheat while you are making the sliders.  Set the Blackstone Pizza Oven to the lowest heat setting.  If using your kitchen oven, set the dial to broil.
    3. Assemble the Chicken Sliders: Keep the Hawaiian rolls whole and cut them in half down the center.  Open up the cut rolls and place on a baking sheet pan or pizza pan.  On the bottom piece of roll, add a couple layers of the sliced chicken so they are fluffed and folded.  Add the slices of cheddar cheese to the top of the deli chicken pieces.

    5. Apply the Garlic Butter:  Using a pastry brush, add a thin layer of the seasoned garlic butter to the top of the sliders.  Return the chicken sliders back to the oven and toast the top up a little bit, just don't burn the bread.
