Noodle Stir Fry Vegetables

Stir fry vegetables can consist of any vegetable that you like to eat.  Mix and match to create your favorite stir fry flavor profile. 

Some options are bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, snap peas, snow peas, baby corns, green onions, zucchini, green beans, water chestnuts, cabbage, asparagus, bean sprouts, baby Bok choy, and spicy peppers.

How to Make Stir Fry Noodles

Step 1: Cook your noodles.  Start by selecting your favorite noodles.  Pick your choice of pasta such as Udon noodles, rice noodles, egg noodles, soba noodles, lo mein noodles, or regular spaghetti noodles.  You can even use ramen noodles if you like. All will work beautifully in stir fry dishes.  Cook the noodles according to the package instructions, making sure they are al dente.  Rinse them with cold water to prevent the noodles from sticking together and then set aside. 
Step 2:  Prep your stir fry ingredients.  Gather an assortment of colorful vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, and snap peas.  Slice them thinly to ensure quick and even cooking.  TIP: Use frozen stir fry vegetable for quicker prep work.  Prepare your protein options like chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu into bite-sized pieces.  Mince a couple cloves of fresh garlic or use some prepared jarred minced garlic instead. 
Step 3:  Heat up the Blackstone Griddle to medium heat for about 5 minutes.  Once the flat top griddle is preheated, add a squirt of oil to the griddle and use the griddle spatula to spread around.  On one section of the griddle, add all of the vegetable pieces.  Season with salt and pepper or your favorite seasonings.  Use the griddle spatula to flip the vegetables as they are cooking. 
Step 4:  On another section of the Blackstone Griddle, cook the protein(s).  If using shrimp, wait a couple minutes before cooking.  Add the minced garlic and seasoning to the cooking meats.  Use the griddle spatula to flip and evenly sauté until cooked. 
Step 5:  Combine the sautéed meats and the vegetables all together on the griddle.

Step 6:  Prepare the stir fry sauce.  The secret to a delectable stir fry noodle dish lies in the sauce.  In a small bowl combine the water, corn starch, soy sauce, and honey.  Pour the noodle stir fry sauce over the griddle cooked ingredients.  Use the griddle spatula to stir and combine all the ingredients together as it is cooking. 
Step 7:  Add the cooked noodles to the griddle stir fry.  Stir to combine all together, ensuring the noodles are coated with the flavorsome sauce.  Taste the noodle stir fry for seasonings and add more if needed.  Once the desired flavor is achieved, remove from the griddle to a bowl and serve hot. 

TIPS:  For those who enjoy a spicy kick, sprinkle in some red pepper flakes, a dash of chili sauce or chili garlic sauce.  Adjust the quantities to achieve your desired flavor profile.  Customize the sauce to suit your tastes by adding some oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, or sesame oil.

How to Store Noodle Stir Fry

This is a recipe that you will want to make extras.  Leftover noodles stir fry tastes awesome the next day.  By making extra stir fry noodles, it makes a great lunch or a no-cook weeknight meal. 

Store the noodle stir fry in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 days.  Reheat in the microwave for 1 minutes.  Stir and microwave in 30 second intervals until the desired temperature is reached. 

How to Make Stir Fried Noodles on the Stove

Learning how to make stir fried noodles on the stove is not complicated at all.  Prepare everything before you start the cooking process because the recipe will cook quickly. 

Gather all your ingredients to make the noodle stir fry recipe.  Prepare the stir fry sauce by combining all the ingredients in a small bowl.  Set aside until ready to use. 

Preheat a large sauté pan on the stove over medium heat with a tablespoon of oil.  You will need to work in stages. 

Start by cooking the chicken, shrimp, or beef pieces in the hot oil with the minced garlic and your favorite seasonings.  Once the meat is cooked, remove from the pan and place into a bowl until later. 

Leave any of the meat drippings in the pan for extra flavor.  Add the prepared vegetables and cook for a few minutes until tender crisp.  You do not want to overcook the vegetables.

Put the cooked meat back into the pan along with the sautéed vegetables.  Add the cooked noodles and stir to combine all together.  Pour in the stir fry sauce and stir to coat everything. 

Bring to a boil, stirring often.  Let the stir fry bubble to thicken, making sure to stir.  Once the desired thickness is achieved, serve hot.

  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetables, Fresh, Assortment 4 cups
  • Chicken Breast, Skinless, Boneless 2 each
  • Shrimp, Raw, Peeled, Deveined 1 pound
  • Garlic, Minced 1 teaspoon
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper 1/2 teaspoon
  • Honey 1/4 cup
  • Soy Sauce 1/4 cup
  • Water 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch 4 teaspoons
  • Noodles, Spaghetti 1 pound

    How to Make Stir Fried Noodles

  • Step 1: Cook your pasta noodles.  Start by selecting your favorite kind of noodles.  Pick your choice of noodles such as Udon noodles, rice noodles, egg noodles, soba noodles, lo mein noodles, or regular spaghetti noodles.  Cook the noodles according to the package directions, making sure they are al dente.  Rinse the noodles with cold water to prevent them from sticking together and then set aside. 
  • Step 2:  Prep all your stir fry ingredients.  Gather an assortment of vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, and snap peas.  Slice all the vegetables in thin uniform pieces to ensure quick and even cooking.  TIP: You can use frozen stir fry vegetable for quicker prep work.  Next, prepare your protein options like chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu into bite-sized pieces.  Mince a few cloves of fresh garlic or use some prepared jarred minced garlic instead. 
  • Step 3:  Heat up the Blackstone Flat Top Griddle to medium heat for about 5 minutes.  Once the flat top is preheated, add a squirt of oil to the griddle and use the griddle spatula to spread around.  On one section of the Blackstone griddle, add all of the prepared vegetable pieces.  Lightly season with salt and pepper or your favorite seasonings.  Use the griddle spatula to flip the vegetables as they are cooking. 
  • Step 4:  On another part of the Blackstone Griddle, cook the diced protein(s).  If using shrimp, wait a couple minutes before cooking because shrimp takes less time to cook.  Add the minced garlic and seasoning on top to the cooking meats.  Use the spatula to flip and evenly sauté until cooked. 
  • Step 5:  Combine the sautéed meats and vegetables all together on the griddle. 

Noodle Stir Fry Sauce

  • Step 6:  The stir fry sauce - In a small bowl combine the water, corn starch, soy sauce, and the honey.  Pour the stir fry noodle sauce over the griddle cooked ingredients.  Use the griddle spatula to toss all the ingredients together as it is cooking. 
  • Step 7:  Add the prepared cooked noodles to the griddle stir fry.  Stir to combine all the ingredients together, ensuring the noodles are coated with the flavorsome sauce.  Taste the noodle stir fry for seasonings and adjust if needed.  Once the desired flavor is achieved, remove from the flat top griddle to a serving dish and serve right away. 

Notes
