How to Make a Caesar Salad with Chicken
Prepare the Chicken: Smoking the chicken can be done ahead of time. Don’t want smoked chicken? You can also use rotisserie chicken, griddle chicken, grilled chicken, and any leftover chicken of your choice.
Gather all Your Ingredients: Prep up all the ingredients that you plan on using for your salad.
Assemble the Salad: Option #1 – In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, and grated parmesan cheese. Add the shredded smoked chicken to the bowl. I like to drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad mixture. Next, I toss until everything is evenly coated with the dressing. Option #2 – Place the chopped romaine lettuce on the plate. Top with the croutons, grated parmesan cheese, and shredded smoked chicken. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the top.
Serve the Salad: Use a pair of tongs to portion out the prepared chicken Caesar salad. Garnish with a sprinkle of shredded parmesan cheese, salt, and some pepper. Serve the salad right away, otherwise the lettuce will become wilted, and the croutons will become soggy.
